![]() ![]() If they thought his background wasn't good enough they wouldn't have bothered interviewing him. They don't bring them in for interviews and then treat them like garbage. Professional organizations treat people with respect. Well but his life was a mess? No, it use to be a mess. ![]() And I highly, HIGHLY doubt they would be so dismissive to an Army vet who had done what he did. A high ranking agent who works with the presidents detail doesn't do job interviews in her office. What was the point of that? He couldn't just be Capital Police on a tour with his daughter? Secret Service has a recruiting department, like all big organizations. ![]() The whole Channing Tatum plot with applying to the secret service annoyed me too. In the films Olympus Has Fallen and White House Down, this role is fufilled the same way, but for different reasons. I'm surprised they didn't adapt the Mitch Rapp book about terrorists in the White House.Įdit: Oh yea, I forgot. : Olympus Has Fallen / White House down - Set : Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, Melissa Leo, Channing Tatum. Olympus Has Fallen looks better somehow but I haven't seen it. Films take a long time to make so White House Down and Olympus Has Fallen could quite easily have been filmed without the producers or directs having any. We need CGI for cars flipping over? and it looked like crap because they set everything in broad daylight which made all their shitty CGI look that much more shitty. CGI was way overused, even in really odd things like a car chase, or a car flipping over. So it was loud and violent but too long and too stupid.I've only seen White House Down. On the plus side the special effects were great, Foxx was good as the president, and Maggie Gyllenhaal and James Woods were great in supporting roles. Also Emily (an 11 year old) is slapped around, threatened and (more than once) has a gun held to her head! That's going too far. Seriously-by the end I was getting insulted as how moronic the film was getting. Also it's far too long and gets stupider as it goes along. The action is strong and violent but not enough to carry the movie. There's plenty of violence-LOTS of shootings but no blood (hence the PG-13 rating). Nothing wrong with that-but it's so DULL! Then the action starts up and it picks up. Like Olympus Has Fallen, an attack occurs from within the House, the President is kidnapped and his entire staff is done away with, leaving only Cale to defend. The first half hour deals with character development. Through circumstances Cale saves President Sawyer (Jamie Foxx) from being killed and they try to figure a way to beat the terrorists and save the White House. Cale (Channing Tatum) is there with his 11 year old daughter Emily (Joey King). A bunch of terrorists attack and (way too easily) occupy the White House. ![]()
